Sunday afternoon is probably my favorite time of the week. Since I do try to make Sunday a day of rest, I can look at the dust on the shelf, the weeds in the flowers or the laundry in the basket and not feel guilty. I can curl up in my favorite chair with a cup of coffee, an Anne Perry mystery and get lost in the book. If I'm home alone, then I have control of the remote to the TV and can find a sappy chick flick to watch. A nap is always a good option. Or, I can also read the blogs from my creative writing students (which I enjoy doing!).
I think it's the unstructured time that I enjoy. I like knowing that the time is mine to decide how I want to spend it. I can get rather selfish about it, but I do try to share my time with my family and friends!
I'm glad God decided we needed a day of rest!
I find Sunday afternoons very relaxing as well. For me, it is the day when I don't have to do any homework and can play my guitar or read or just hang out!
